Q. Where do I send my equipment for repair?
A. All Beseler products, in and out of warranty can be repaired by the following authorized companies:

Please contact one of the repair centers directly. Any product sent to Beseler for repair will be forwarded, at the customer's expence, to a Service Center.



Q. Does the Printmaker 35 have one or two condenser lenses?
A. The Printmaker 35 comes equipped with ONE 2¼ lens.



Q. In what slot does the condenser lens go into my Printmaker 35?
A. The condenser lens does NOT go into any of the slots; it is placed on the floor of the lamp house.



Q. Does Beseler manufacturer a step-down transformer that will allow me to use a 120 volt enlarger in a country that uses a 220 system?
A. Yes. You can use the STep-Down Transformer (cat.#674702) with the following enlargers and light sorces:
Printmaker 67 Dichro and 67 XLD
67 Variable Contrast Light source
23CIII Dichro and 23CIII VC



Q. Can I print color with the Cadet II?
A. Yes, with the addition of 3x3 color printing filters



Q. How do I change the lamp in my Cadet II?
A. Unscrew the 3 small screws at the base of the lamp house and lift the lamp house off. Unscrew the lamp when cooled and replace with a PH140 lamp. Refasten the lamp house to the enlarger.



Q. Why are the sides of my print out of focus and the center seems to be in focus?
A. The enlarger may be out of optical alignment. Realign the enlarger or check to make sure that the negative has not buckled due to the heat of the lamp.



Q. Can the Printmaker 35 produce prints from a 6x7 film format?
A. Yes, with the addition of the 6x7 conversion kit.



Q. What is the largest print I can make with my Printmaker 35?
A. The Printmaker 35 can produce an 11x14 print on the baseboard.



Q. I have fall off on all the edges of my print. How can I correct this?
A. Check that the correct focal length lens is being used. If using a condenser light source, the condenser must be set to teh correct film format. The negative carrier has to be positioned correctly in the negative stage. If useing a deffusion light source, make sure the light source is closest to the negative carrier.



Q. How can I keep my negatives from falling out of focus?
A. Check to see if the negative has buckled due to the heat of the lamp. If so, use a heat absorbing glass. Also, make sure that the focus has a firm feel to it. If the focus feels loose, tighten the tension springs in the lower housing.
